Brian Klepacki loves training his core and sometimes he loves confusing others when he's training...Not in a vain way but in a way to get people to think outside the box when it comes to training.

One of the big developments in core training over the recent past is the use of “functional” exercises. We at Critical Bench are fans of using this style of training for many reasons. But at a certain point, typical 'core' exercises aren't enough. And in this video, Coach Brian shares with you the 5 WEIRD CORE EXERCISES That Will CONFUSE Others and will probably Make Other People STARE.

These weird (and difficult) exercises are a wonderful alternatives to crunches and sit ups, as they increase core strength and spinal stabilization while maintaining a neutral spine, thus eliminating the constant flexing and extending of the spinal column but they aren't for everybody.

As simple as these exercises may look, they’re not easy. As with any exercise, if not done with good technique, there is a risk of injury. And if you fall off doing these... you might hurt your ego as well.

If you are doing a healthy mix of these 5 WEIRD CORE EXERCISES That Will CONFUSE Others moves in this video, your abs and core muscles with undoubtedly harden and strengthen. Just be sure to do them properly like you see Brian doing them!

The key if you want to SEE your abs is to train smart, train regularly, eat clean, hydrate well and get adequate sleep. If you are not sticking to these 5 basic principles of fitness, you will NEVER get the results you're after!

Again, some of these are beginner level and some more advanced. Be sure to know where you're at, work up to harder things and stay injury free.
