Burn This Song 'Burn This Song'

Burn This Song 'Burn This Song' 'Burn This Song' – pierwszy autorski singiel zespołu Burn This Song, któremu rozpoznawalność przyniósł cover kultowego utworu „Black Betty”.

'Burn This Song'
Just like their cover of the iconic 'Black Betty' the band recorded for the soundtrack of 'The Choice' movie, Burn This Song's eponymous first single also has a cinematic origin. Written for a yet unreleased superhero-themed movie, the track tells a story of a man paralyzed by fear in his own abilities, until the circumstances which throw him into deep water, reveal his uncanny strength - a tale as much about a superhero as about every guy and girl out there.
Burn This Song’s 'Black Betty' became the best seller of The Choice soundtrack and the most streamed track of the movie album.
Burn This Song single has already won the approval of the Radio Indie Alliance, where it became the most played track among many independent radio stations choosing it as a favorite new add of its Summer playlists.
In their second music video we follow the band through some of the most iconic places in Los Angeles - from Venice, Muscle Beach, Beverly Hills and Sunset Strip to the Griffith Observatory and Downtown with a surprise finale culminating in the cult cinema 'Charlie Monroe Kino Malta' in Poznan, Poland.
Here to prove that the biggest natural source of energy is a power trio, Burn This Song harness the explosive reaction between drums, bass and guitar. Add to it an electric wall of sound, analog riffs and a Made in Poland sticker and you’ve got yourself a hell of a combination.
The band had its live debut at the Enea Spring Break festival in Poznan this Summer and is ready to conquer your town on its upcoming autumn tour.

LYRICS
Forever trapped in shallow waters
Everybody’s got a past keeps them up at night
Feet stuck to the muddy sandbank
Average Joe or supehero will loose his path
Unreal like the stars in the sky
Will you stop for a world a million years apart

CHORUS
Dont be afraid
The higher the waves
The rougher the wind
The more scars you bear the better you know yourself
The end of your world
The flood rushing in
Your house swept away
Let the song Burn, Feed your fear to flames
Heart on fire out of reach to the highest waves

Skies are burning up above
In a mad dance sun is looking for its way out
Strange impenetrable landscapes
Shut beneath the water surface you look for cracks
Do you keep waiting letting fear tie you down
Give up the fight, stay on the sidelines
Or conquerfear, look it straight in the eye, no more chances passing by
Run into the waves, shed all thats held you back so far

CHORUS
Heart on fire will not give in

Get on your way, your time has come
Fate has waited long enough to push you out
You’ve got a superpower straight from the stars
With their light shining now through your eyes

CHORUS
Heart on fire will not give in

steady your stance
stand stright up
into the open see let life carry you out
