How the British Parliament is trying to block its own suspension | DW News Can the British parliament use legislation to prevent its own suspension? Opposition leader Jeremy Corbyn says yes. Johnson says parliament needs to go on a pause in September and October to allow the government to work on its domestic agenda. Opponents say it's an undemocratic attempt to stifle debate about Brexit.
