Have you got on of those boards, so looks like kind of extra cool? So - 3, 2, 1....
My name is Oliver Hall, I work at Copenhagen Capacity and we are the
official inward investment agency for greater Copenhagen.
It's our job to attract and support foreign companies, capital and talents in establishing
themselves in the region. We're a publicly funded, nonprofit, private
foundation. We typically help 30 or 40 companies, foreign companies, a year to
set up, and we create on average 14-15 hundred very highly skilled jobs for the region.
We do online social media campaigns, where we focus on attracting startups
and also talents to the region, so chances are, if you're a startup somewhere
on the planet, we've managed to find you, get into your Facebook accounts and tell
you about the wonderful weather and the coolness of Greater Copenhagen.
We're pretty easy to find, but we're good at stalking people as well.
We work actively with foreign startups who are looking to access the
region. We have everything from, you know, e-health companies, the big data
analytics companies to companies with innovative cleantech solutions. We also
work proactively in international outreach as well, so so we have a lot of
different verticals, like cleantech, life science, logistics, tech, generally.
In Southern Sweden, in the region's corner, we have a lot of different projects
like Industrial Cluster Creation, creating Medicon Valley by National Life
Science cluster and many others.
So we have a dedicated talent team as well, who works to attract very, very
highly skilled talent from overseas to move to Copenhagen. We also work to keep
a lot of the very highly skilled talent that we have in Copenhagen that, you know,
so university graduates and spouses, highly skilled spouses of expats over here.
Yeah, we don't just look at the talent that we want to come in, we work a little bit
more holistically as well, so if you're a single person, or if you've got, you know,
husband/wife boyfriend/girlfriend, you've got a pet dog and cat that needs
re-locating as well...We basically tailor a lot of the
packages and our websites to depending on, you know, depending on what that
person is looking for as well.
