Yes, that is what an American man I met on the beach in Mati, Davao Oriental was told by Filipinos about Mindanao. Sad really, and still one of the major reasons I spread positive education about the south. Mindanao is BIG, and FULL OF BEAUTY that YOU can experience. Extreme negative things have and do happen... but they are NOT WHAT IS LIFE IS LIKE HERE, and NOT WHAT IS IN ABUNDANCE.

In this video, you will see us spending a beautiful day in Mati. A day where we met a new American friend. Swimming, a beautiful beach, paddling, empanadas and waterfalls!
