Search teams finally find Likoni’s ill-fated vehicle The car that sunk at the Indian Ocean after veering off the ferry at the Likoni Channel has been sighted and positively identified 11 days after the incident.
Government spokesman Retired Colonel Cyrus Oguna confirmed this evening that a car bearing the registration plate KCB 289C had been located.
The presence of the bodies of Mariam Kigenda and her daughter Amanda Mutheu, who were inside the car during the incident, is yet to be confirmed. That will have to wait for resumption of the operation Thursday morning at 9am.
