Koyank tribals are also known as head hunters. Most of the villages of these tribals were on the top of the hill, so that they could keep an eye on the enemies.However, in 1940, head hunting was banned altogether.
After 1969, the head hunting incident is not believed to have taken place in the village of these tribals.
lIt is said that not knowing how to divide this village into two parts. The officials decided that the pboundary line would go through the village, but it would not have any effect on Konyak. On the pillar of the border, the message is written in Burmese on one sid and on the other side in Hindi.
