On Tuesday the 15th of October 2019, a very rare even took place, Ireland's Belmond Grand Hibernian Luxury train made an extremely rare visit to North Wall Freight Yard in Dublin. This is only the Belmond's second ever visit to North Wall, the first being when the coaches where first delivered back in 2016. The purpose of the visit to North Wall was to allow for the loco to run round so it the train wouldn't be causing congestion at Dublin Connolly, once arrived at North Wall and facing the right way it would then proceed to Sligo on a trial run.
0:00 - 7:20, To start the day off we see 071 class loco number 078 arriving into North Wall from Inchicore with the Belmond Grand Hibernian, it would then proceed to run round and then depart North Wall for Church Road cabin.
7:20 - 8:40, Next we head to Ossory Road having only just managed to get ahead of him where we see 078 passing with the Belmond trial run to Sligo.
8:40 - 12:18, Later that night, 078 returns from Sligo with the Belmond having completed it's trial run, here we it arriving and departing North Wall.
12:18 - 13:19, And finally the last shot of the day, 078 passes Ossory Road with the Belmond while en route back to Inchicore.
It is extremely rare to see a passenger train in North Wall yard as it is a freight only line, this will probably be the last time for a VERY long time it will visit North Wall.
