Romans 10:9 records NKJV records:
“that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Message:
The opening statement in the aforementioned verse of Romans starts off by saying, “that if..” This phrase is a conditional statement. Meaning what follows after that phrase is subject to the requirements that are listed being met.
The Bible says, ONLY if you would confess (speak out) and believe in your heart (imagination) then will you be saved.
Today, I do not want to focus on the thought modification but on the power of the words that you confess!!
Believing in itself is inadequate. A confession is needed to establish and cement your salvation.
To imagine being born again (yetser) does not save you. It makes you righteous yes, but you need to have a speaking faith! A speaking belief! You need to confess your faith!
There is no salvation where confession is not involved! Mathew says it is by your words that you’ll be justified!
