मोहम्मद अहमद काज़मी द्वारा "नज़र दूनिया पर" कार्यक्रम में सीरिया में जारी संकट के कारण और प्रभाव के बारे में रूसी टूडे आरटी द्वारा सीरिया के राष्ट्रपति बशर अल-असद के हालिया साक्षात्कार पर एक रिपोर्ट पेश की गयी है। असद ने कहा कि यूरोप के लिए प्रस्तावित कतरी गैस पाइपलाइन की दमिश्क की अस्वीकृति की वजह से संकट पैदा नहीं हुआ था, बल्कि इसके बजाय, यह इराक और सीरिया से प्रस्तावित गुजरने वाली ईरानी तेल पाइपलाइन जो की भूमध्यसागरीय समुद्र तट को जोड़ने वाली थी को रोकने लिए यह जंग हुई थी। असद यह भी आरोप लगाया है कि अमेरिका ने सीरिया से चोरी किये गए तेल की तस्करी में दाइश का समर्थन किया है। उन्होंने यह भी कहा है कि उत्तर सीरिया के तेल से मालामाल इलाकों में अमेरिका की मौजूदगी दमिश्क के खिलाफ दबाव की रणनीति के रूप में इसका इस्तेमाल करने के लिए थी। काज़मी का समझना है कि अमेरिका ने गृह युद्ध को भड़काकर न केवल ईरान और सीरिया को दंडित किया है, बल्कि यूरोपीय देशों को भी नुकसान पहुँचाया है, जो सस्ते ईरानी तेल की आपूर्ति से फायदा उठा सकते थे।
“Nazar Duniya Par” by Mohammad Ahmad Kazmi carries a report on Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad’s recent interview by Russian Today RT about the cause and impact of the ongoing crisis. Assad said that crisis was not caused because of Damascus’ rejection of proposed Qatari gas pipeline for Europe, but, instead, it was to stop Iranian pipeline proposal across Iraq and Syria connecting Mediterranean seacoast. He has also alleged that US supported ISIS in smuggling stolen oil from Syria. He has also said that US presence in north Syria’s oil rich areas was to use it as pressure tactic against Damascus. Kazmi observed that US has not only punished Iran and Syria by provoking the civil war but also harmed European countries who could benefit from Iranian oil supplies with cheaper freight expanses
