How to make prawns barbeque in tender coconut?
Daab Chingiri is a Bengali dish where prawns marinated in turmeric, ground mustard, and coconut milk is cooked in a tender coconut. This can be cooked either in charcoal, in a pressure cooker, or even in a microwave oven. We have made slight improvements in the preparation to match with Kerala style cooking.
For this video, we went to the Ayikkara fish market in Kannur and bought prawns. We also plucked a few tender coconuts from the local farm and cooked those prawns after marination in the tender coconuts.
