If you have one wish for Daddy, what is your wish for him? I wished that Daddy could stay home, not work and still get money. A 9-year old girl’s wish. Can we assume that this is the ultimate wish of all our little ones? Over the decades, the role of a father has changed ever since mothers start working and sometimes provide more or works longer hours than their fathers. Fathers are no longer just the protectors and financial supporters but double up as the caregivers and models for the little one’s social and emotional behaviour.
Fathers are now equally important as Mothers. A father’s involvement, affection, and support in his children’s life journey contribute to a child’s social and character development, good self-esteem, and academic achievements. Most importantly, the child will feel loved and safe in the arms of their father.
Let’s take this chance to thank every single father for their unconditional love, their tireless effort to bring food on the table, and spending time to bond with their little ones. Happy Father’s Day.
