Food brings people together, makes us happy, and is fuel for our mind and bodies. Unfortunately, during the holidays, our eating habits, based on our energy types, can get out of control causing us to gain weight, but Carol is here to help!

Best selling author, Carol Tuttle, gives you tips on how to control your thoughts, emotions, and tendencies around food to avoid those extra pounds and keep your weight exactly where you want it to be!

If you are a type 1, or the “social eater,” you love being around others, which can make it easy to lose track of what goes into your mouth at events. To avoid overeating, decide what and how much you are going to eat before you go to the event; then stick to it!

For type 2’s, food has a relaxing calming effect on you. This is also known as an emotional eater. Too much going on during the holidays can cause you stress which leads to using food as a safety blanket. Type 2’s need to remember to take a pause and find the emotional driver behind why you may want to grab those cookies or sweets.

The “grab-and-go” eaters are type 3. Because you are always busy and on the move, you often grab for whatever you can quickly find, which is usually an unhealthy choice. Carol's advice, Food prep! Have healthy foods like hard-boiled eggs or diced veggies, ready to go at all times.

Lastly, the types 4’s are the “all or nothing” eaters. You are 100% healthy or the complete opposite. Types 4’s need to decide to be healthy and stay true to those goals! Do you want to look back and think, “I blew it over the holidays?” or “I am proud of myself for sticking to it!”
