Twisted .2

Twisted .2 by C. Siegel.
Filmed by John Anderson July 2019.
Originally Recorded in 2005 on Siegel-Schwall's Flash Forward on Alligator Records

From a series of works called "Russo's Piano." In 2017 when we began post production of Chamber Blues DIFFERENT VOICES (my best effort to please the muse), I realized; “Oops! There’s no piano on the darn thing.” Beginning in 2018 and ending this July I began to record a series of piano tunes for you

For a copy of DIFFERENT VOICES please go to

The series of tunes is recorded on the late William Russo's piano. Bill was there in 1966 with Siegel-Schwall at Big Johns. He was the composer of the first two Symphonic Blues recordings with Seiji Ozawa and the San Francisco Symphony. He mentored me and guided me to compose my own symphonic works that created a whole career for me and led to the creation of Chamber Blues. He produced a science fiction musical call “Buttonwillow” I wrote with James Lee Stanley. He composed two big band jazz works for me and a couple chamber music works. He got me started in 1973 doing workshops at Columbia College that launched my passion for doing workshops on expression and a book project on the subject.

Lyrics:
If I jumped in the River, I bet you'd let me float away and drown, You say you love me, But I never see you round //
You're just Trouble baby, swinging way up in a thistle tree, trying to get to you, could cause an injury //
Everytime I see your face, my love life flashes before my eyes, your words are haunting, but all twisted up in lies //
So goodbye baby , goodbye heartburn and deception, you learn something new every day, today is no exception //

Twisted
