IBM has first invented HDD( shipped in 1957 as a component of the IBM 305 RAMAC system).It has very high capacity of storage but its a mechanical procedure so its very slow and laggy that's why SSD is been introduced later.SSD is now a days very popular storage device but much faster than HDD.Do consider a SSD while buying a laptop.It will make ur user experience far better.
