Thousands of residents of Padang City, West Sumatera Indonesia, are very enthusiastic about collecting sugar scattered from the top of the Muhammadan Mosque, Batipuh, Padang City. Wow.....amazing, really festive. This even is the third time. It is an expression of gratitude for this year's fortune. No less than four tons of granulated sugar were scattered, then contested by thousands of Padang residents at events related to tourism activities, especially cultural tourism. "Rasping Gulo", is a traditional of scattering/spreading sugar as a from of gratitude for this year's fortune. The even was organized by Muslims of India descent in City of Padang, West Sumatera, Indonesia.
Present at the event included Deputy Governor of West Sumateta, Nasrul Abit, Republic of Indonesia Parlement Member, Mardani Ali Sera, Mayor of Padang, Mahyeldi as well as several other elements of society.
