How to Make and Attach 2D | Flat Fursuit Eyes

How to Make and Attach 2D | Flat Fursuit Eyes How are there like, NO 2D / flat fursuit eye tutorials on youtube?! So here's my contribution! I wish I had this video when I made the rat and boar heads.... hopefully this is helpful to y'all!

For these kind of eyes, you add them on AFTER the fur has been glued to the head! As opposed to 3d / follow-me eyes, which are added before the head is furred.

Any questions? Just ask!

Next tutorials coming soon: velcro eyelids, and a poseable boar tail!
Also in the works: lined armsleeves, removable shoe feetpaws, and follow me fursuit eyes!

MATERIALS:
Thick felt for eyelashes (try not to use the thinner stuff)
White eye plastic (or foamies, but they're not very sturdy)
Mesh (vinyl aida in the cross stitch section of Joanns, or window screening from home depot/lowe's, or Darice plastic mesh, or buckram cloth from Fursuitsupplies, etc)
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Paint brushes
Foam scraps / foam brushes
Acrylic paint
Scissors
Xacto blade
Sand paper
Paper for templates
Spray sealant (like Rustoleum Matte Clear sealant)
Needle and thread

WHITE EYE PLASTIC:
It's called "polystyrene" and I got it off etsy! The .03 mm thickness seems sturdy enough for a fursuit eye without being too thick to cut with scissors.
