Should Oscars Have Best Female And Male Director Categories

Tim Nolan - Hey John and crew. ‘Honey Boy’ director, Alma Har’el, recently brought up the idea of splitting up the Best Director category in awards shows into two separate categories; one for male directors and one for female directors. Stating that, basically, if we can do it for actors and actresses, we should have no issue doing it for directors as well. I’d really love to hear your thought. Thanks!
