Everyone needs a cheat meal or a refeed meal once in a while, and generally for most people one cheat meal per week is helpful. If you feel like you won't be able to lose weight eating a cheat meal once per week or you feel that you don't have cravings very often, then you can try every other week. Ultimately, a meal higher in carbs and protein will help anyone keep their metabolism elevated to prevent plateaus and keep losing weight. For people trying to bulk and gain weight, eating a cheat meal multiple times per week or every day may be necessary to get enough calories in.
