Day 19 #DanielFast Grasping The Unseen
The writer of Hebrews tells us that “...what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen.” Let’s pause and think about that for a minute. Our eye lashes, our spine, blue whales, rainbows, volcanoes, the northern lights, the galaxies - did not come from anything that can be seen! They were all formed at God’s command. What an awesome God we serve! His word caused everything to come into existence, by faith.
Today I received a message about something I’ve been trusting God for and immediately I broke into praise for answered prayer. There and then I felt God call me out. He asked me ‘Did you not know that I could do it from the moment you asked? Did you not trust me to do it? So why did you not praise me from then on? Why did you have to wait to see it, to praise me for it?’ I had to repent immediately. Just because I didn’t see it doesn’t mean He hadn’t done it and it shouldn’t have stopped me from praising Him in advance.
I was reminded again what faith in God truly is - a confident persuasion that we have it even though we cannot see it. It is the ‘evidence of things not seen’. We grasp it while it is still unseen. We don’t see it, yet we have proof! And because we have proof, we praise Him like we can already see it.
This is what we call ‘crazy faith’. Just like Abraham who obeyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land that God would give him as his inheritance, and went without knowing where he was going. He could not see his destination but he could hear his direction. To others he would have been considered raving mad, but to God this qualified him to be called his friend - “... “Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith.” He was even called the friend of God.”
Today I’m reminded to put my faith into action and praise Him even when I don’t see an answer; I’d like to encourage you to do the same. That work colleague you’ve been praying for - start to see the transformation already even though you don’t see it. That breakthrough you’ve been trusting for, start to praise him like you already have it, even though it is not here.
We come to Him because we know that He is able. We trust Him to do what He’s promised to do, so whether we see it now or not we will praise Him still

Prayer
Thank you Lord for you are such an awesome creator. You are worthy of the highest praise! I give you all the glory today for who you are. I exalt your name for there is nothing impossible with you. I praise you in advance today because I know that which I’m trusting you for is already done and you will forever receive the glory in Jesus name
