In Depth - Boko Haram Suspected terrorists of Islamist militant group Boko Haram killed at least 30 people and abducted dozens of women and children in a raid in north-eastern Nigeria on Monday.
According to news reports, most of the victims were travellers who were burnt to death while they were sleeping in their vehicles during an overnight stop.
The attack took place in Auno town on a major highway in Borno state - which is the worst hit by Boko Haram insurgency.
Since 2009, the militant Islamist group and its offshoots have waged a brutal insurgency in Nigeria...which has killed over 35000 people and rendered over two million homeless.
The terror group has also abducted hundreds in the decade-long conflict.
While Nigerian security forces have freed some from captivity and forced the militants to retreat several times, Boko Haram's attacks on innocent people continue...
