Sun is our nearest star in the universe, located 93 million miles away from us. Our Sun has a diameter of 1.4 million kms with a surface temperature of 5,500 °C. DKIST is an observatory studying the sun located on the summit of Haleakala, Hawaii. It studied the Sun's surface closely and released some detailed images. In this given image the cell-like structures are the size of Texas that are convecting masses of hot plasma. They carry heat from the inside of the sun and help it leave the sun's surface quickly.
