Why Do Sit-Up Hurting My Tailbone ???

Why Do Sit-Up Hurting My Tailbone ??? Secret about Anti-Bruise Tail Bone Push Up Secrets

We are going to talk about something that everyone does in the gym and that is sit-ups. Anyone who has done a high number of sit-ups, one of the complaint I hear is their tailbone hurts. That could just come from friction on the floor and the first thing people like to do when that happens is to put a mat, a towel or some type of soft surface underneath them.

This really doesn't fix the problem though, the problem is arising from someone who is using extended force in order to drive their hips up from the ground and use momentum to complete the sit-up.

This is a technique video on what is going on within the sit-up. Trish loves doing sit-ups, she does them pretty much every damn day. Every now and then she will come in and complain of the tailbone pain.

She does a high number of reps so she stops focusing on the form and only on the reps sometimes. She likes to put her feet together when doing sit-ups so she's not using her hip flexors. So what happens when she gets tired, she picks her hips up and slams them into the ground in order to finish the movement.

Over time, if you're doing 20 or 30 reps this will be a lot of wear and tear. Slow the sit-ups down, it's a very easy fix. Think about keeping your hips in contact with the ground. This applies if she has a plate or dumbbell in her hands, she is still keeping her hips in contact with the ground while extending up. She is keeping her feet together so she can try to prevent it.

We normally see someone holding the persons feet down, but the person is still popping their hips up even more and using that momentum to complete the movement. Slow the exercise down and keep the hips in contact with the ground and I promise you this will relieve that sore tailbone pain.
