Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo (born 2 August 1995) is an Indonesian professional badminton player currently ranked world No. 1 in the men's doubles by the Badminton World Federation.[3] He is from PB Djarum, a badminton club in Kudus, Central Java and has been a member of the club since 2007.[4] He won the 2017 All England Open Super Series Premier with his current partner, Marcus Fernaldi Gideon.[5] He and Gideon were awarded the BWF Best Male Players of the Year for two years in a row after collected seven Super Series titles in 2017 and eight World Tour titles in 2018.[6][7]

Sukamuljo and Gideon often referred as "The Minions" because of their height below average badminton players and they are also known for their playing style that is fast and very agile as if bouncing here and there just like Minions in the film Despicable Me, which is often jumping up and down.[8][9] BWF commentator, Gillian Clark stated that he is one of the fastest player in the badminton world because of his unexpected shots and his ability to know where the next shot will be played.

Marcus Fernaldi Gideon (born 9 March 1991) is an Indonesian professional badminton player currently ranked world No. 1 in the men's doubles by the Badminton World Federation. He is from PB Jaya Raya, a badminton club in South Tangerang, Banten and has joined the club since June 2018.[3] He won the 2017 All England Open Super Series Premier with his current partner Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo.[4] He and Sukamuljo were recognized as the most outstanding players, and awarded as the BWF Best Male Players of the Year for two years in a row after collected seven Super Series titles in 2017 and eight World Tour titles in 2018.[5][6]

Takeshi Kamura (嘉村健士, Kamura Takeshi, born 14 February 1990) is a Japanese badminton player. He affiliated with the Tonami team since 2012, and has been selected to join the national team in 2013. Kamura was part of the national team that won the 2014 Thomas Cup. He captured his first Superseries title at the 2016 Hong Kong Open, and reached a career high of world number 2 in the men's doubles partnered with Keigo Sonoda in March 2017.[1][2]

Kamura won the silver medal at the 2018 World Championships and a bronze in 2017. In the continental Asia, he helps the national team won the 2017 Asia Mixed Team Championships, also collected a silver and three bronze medals in the individual men's doubles event. He competed at the 2014 and 2018 Asian Games.[3]

Keigo Sonoda (園田 啓悟, Sonoda Keigo, born 20 February 1990) is a Japanese badminton player.[1] He affiliated with the YKK AP Yatsushiro, before joining the Tonami team in 2010. Sonoda was part of the national team that won the 2014 Thomas Cup. He captured his first Superseries title at the 2016 Hong Kong Open, and reached a career high of world number 2 in the men's doubles partnered with Takeshi Kamura in March 2017.[2][3]
