Hello friends in this video shown how to grow and care china orange/kumquat/kalamodine easily in pot. China orange is easy to grow very hardy plant.There are two varieties in china orange one is in oval shape called Nagami kumquat and other is in round shape and is called Morani kumquat.This plant in mini version of oranges but in taste it is very sour. If we wants to grow it in pot always take 14 inch or bigger pot so plant can spread its roots easily.
Requires well drained rich soil because this is heavy feeder plant. 1 part garden soil+ 1part sand + 1 part compost is good for potting soil. This sun loving plant requirs full days sun light and regular normal watering. This is heavy feeder plant so every 15 20 days gap give it phosphorous rich fertilizer for that banana peel or bonemeal or compost 1 tea cup is good . Now for pests every 15 20 days gap neem oil and dish wash mix spray on it.
Now its useChina orange is rich source of vitamin C and very good oxident. Its fruite has lots of minerals and vitamins in it..Minerals Iron, Calcium, Magnecium, Phosphorus, Magnese, Sodium.
Vitamins C A B1 B2 B3 B6 B9 E.You can make squash of its juice it is very refreshing in summers. Juice is mild bleach removes blemishes spots from skin. Its juice regulates Diabetes and cholestrol. and helps reducing weight loss. Juice contains highly absobent calcium, and vry good tonic for liver.
