The removal of a Jesus Christ statue and 14 Stations of the Cross, from a hill in Devanhalli near Bengaluru, has caused distress to members of the Christian community. NDTV’s Maya Sharma, in an exclusive interview, talked to the Archbishop of Bengaluru Most Rev Dr Peter Machado. The Archbishop expressed his views and said that the removal of the statue was a desecration and has hurt the Christian community.
