Welcome to the official J Morris the Review Guy album review for the seventh studio length album by Australian metalcore band the Amity Affliction, entitled Everyone Loves You... Once You Leave Them! Album genre type: Metalcore, post-hardcore, melodic hardcore.
Following their 2018 album Misery, on which they experimented with electronics more and more and more alternative rock and metal sounds, the Amity Affliction opt to continue on that trajectory with this album.
Unfortunately, it doesn't pan out too well, much LIKE Misery did not. However, one thing about this album in comparison is this: The highs are very high and the lows are very low. Some tracks are very well made. Some are very weak.
All-in-all, Everyone Loves You... Once You Leave Them is a mixed bag in every sense of the word.
