"Our identities shape how we experience the world, and how people see and respond to us." In his 20 years in education, Jeewan Chanicka has seen how these identities, including race, gender, religion, and ability, and their intersections have been ignored by the educational system— to the detriment of marginalized students. In this Talk, Jeewan shares his own journey to understanding the complexities of identity and how we can create more inclusive classrooms.
