A Poughkeepsie mall is undergoing a 13 million dollar restoration. The Poughkeepsie Plaza is currently home to 35 retailers including Modell’s, TGI Fridays, Wendy’s, Famous Footwear, and Marshalls. An unnamed developer is paying 13.5 million to De-Mall the plaza, adding over 13 thousand square feet of additional retail space. TJ Maxx and Homegoods are expected to move into the plaza this month.



The police were recently called to shut down a lemonade stand run by children in Newburgh, but it didn't go down as you would expect. Town of Newburgh police arrived after receiving a complaint about the stand. But instead of shutting down the lemonade stand, two officers both got a cup of lemonade, causing the lemonade to go viral.



A West Point Cadet is dead following a cliff diving accident in the Catskills on Saturday. Police say Benjamin Bochtler was at a popular cliff diving location in the town of Hunter, when a part of the rock he was hanging from broke, causing him to fall. State police responded to Fawns Leap and performed life-saving measures, which were unsuccessful.



Students from one Hudson Valley school district got an extra day of summer break. On Tuesday, the Monroe-Woodbury Central School District experienced a cybersecurity threat, which has impacted district operations. As a result, the district is held an unplanned Superintendent’s Conference Day Wednesday and students went back to school on Thursday. Officials didn't go into details about the cybersecurity threat but announced the district’s computer network was shut down



Food Network's 'Restaurant Impossible' is set to film again in the Hudson Valley and needs your help. On September 10 and 11th, the show is heading to Carmine’s in Port Jervis. Producers are looking for local residents to help the design team renovate and redecorate the restaurant. They are also looking for volunteers to eat at the restaurant when it re-opens.
