Metal detecting a colonial farm site in New Hampshire. I went back almost two years later to see if I could find anything else in the ground. First thing I did was move some down trees and brush and started swinging my Garrett ATGOLD metal detector. What I found was a set of cuff links from the 1700s that happened to be the others from a pair. This has never happened to any of us where we have found a full set of cufflinks never mind after such a long time in-between. I then dig a little pit digging and found some old pottery shards and not much more so I moved on to the other side of the old stone wall. I started finding old bottles and the signs of a logging camp from what seemed to be from the 1960s. Then a super high tone signal hit me 88 89 over and over again. I dug it up and it was a beautiful 1960 Washington silver quarter.....wow ! so nice to finds silver coins so far out in the woods. So all in all it was a great trip back to the site and im glad to have found what I found.
