The smallest city in Metro Manila -- plugging its tax leaks to raise revenues and pay off almost a billion pesos in debt. San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora says, of the city's P1.2 billion tab, there's still over 800 million of it in principal and interest to pay.
Zamora is asking tax officials in the city to make collection more efficient while probing businesses who may not be paying their proper dues. This, in a push for for good governance in the city during his first 100 days.
