Bolivia's president Evo Morales resigns amid pressure over election fraud allegations

Bolivian President Evo Morales resigned from his role on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2019 after facing increasing pressure over allegations of election fraud.

As the news broke, people who had gathered in the streets of La Paz, Bolivia reacted with cheers.

Numerous protests had taken place over the past several days and weeks following a disputed election.
