DIY - Fixing a shower faucet that only provides hot water (Kohler faucet)

The shower was only providing hot water even on the lowest setting for cold water. The water temperature is controlled by only one handle and as you turn the handle clockwise the water temperature should go from off to cold to hot. Having replaced the water mixing cartridge before on a previous shower, Pam decided to change out this one as well. Total time for this repair/replace project is easily under 1 hour. Not many tools are necessary except for a #2 or #3 size Philips Screwdriver.

Purchased at Home Depot for $53
Labor - Pam's elbow grease and time (less than 1 hour)
