Aavi from Leicestershire told Jeremy Vine host, Anne Diamond, he believed Remainers are the "laughing stock of the country" following Boris Johnson's Conservatives' astonishing victory at the general election. The enthusiastic caller said: “You lot are the laughing stock of the country, you have spent thousands, millions running around the country when all you had to do was say to Boris ‘get on with it Boris’.” Addressing former Tory MP Justine Greening, he added: “I’ll tell you something else lady, you know something? All you so-called do-gooders before Boris got where he got today, get yourself another job! “Don’t stop the Government because I’m paying your wages and what are you doing for the country? “Nothing! Running around doing nothing! “Leave Boris to get on with it. Let Boris get the hospitals sorted, the crime rates sorted. “The country is not bothered about the rest of the world!” He concluded: “Boris I love him! Boris and Trump are going to rule the world!” In a victory speech in central London on Friday, Prime Minister Boris Johnson said the Tories will finally break the Brexit deadlock. He said: "We did it - we pulled it off, didn't we? "We broke the gridlock, we ended the deadlock, we smashed the roadblock. "I want to congratulate absolutely everybody involved in securing the biggest Conservative majority since the 1980s. "Literally - as I look around - literally before many of you were born." Addressing traditional Labour voters who switched to the Tories on Thursday, Mr Johnson said: "With this election, I think we've put an end to all those miserable threats of a second referendum." He added: "I have a message to all those who voted for us yesterday, especially those who voted for us Conservatives, one nation Conservatives for the first time. "You may only have lent us your vote and you may not think of yourself as a natural Tory. "And as I think I said 11 years ago to the people of London when I was elected in what was thought of as a Labour city, your hand may have quivered over the ballot paper as before you put your cross in the Conservative box and you may intend to return to Labour next time around. Trending "And if that is the case, I am humbled that you have put your trust in me and that you have put your trust in us. “I and we will never take your support for granted.” EU leaders welcomed Prime Minister Boris Johnson's election triumph on Friday as a chance to put three years of Brexit frustration behind them, but the Czech premier spoke for many in the bloc when he said Brexit was "bad news for Europe". Leaders said they now wanted a quick divorce and to move on to talks on a free-trade accord with the EU, even if they are likely to be difficult. "I'm relieved for my country," Ireland's Prime Minister Leo Varadkar said at an EU summit.
