Although she lives in a palace and is recognised across the globe, she is said to be determined to ensure her children live as normal a life as possible. But how has the Duchess of Cambridge ensured this motivation is continued with her Christmas preparation? This week, Kate stunned royal fans in person when she was spotted out in London doing some last-minute Christmas shopping. Despite her busy pre-Christmas schedule, the mother-of-three was seen by onlookers in Peter Jones in London’s Sloane Square browsing children’s tights. The Duchess of Cambridge was spotted holding a pair of dark tights, likely intended to be gifted to her daughter, Princess Charlotte. The shopper was said to be “starstruck” by the encounter with the Duchess. "But then I had a closer look, and realised it was her - shopping! "Other people were whispering as they passed Kate, so I had to get a photo. "I've never been so close to a Royal before. I just couldn’t believe she was there! "It looked like she was buying children's tights for Charlotte, a bit like me finishing off my own Christmas shopping!" The Duchess of Cambridge also maintains normality each year with the Cambridge Christmas card. The adorable snap of the Cambridge family used for the 2019 Christmas card featured the family sitting in and standing beside a motorbike and sidecar. The 2019 card was taken in the summer when Prince George was six, Princess Charlotte was four and Prince Louis was one. The family are wearing casual outfits, with George wearing tartan shorts, Charlotte dressed in a casual dress and Prince William wearing jeans. She was previously seen in Sainsbury’s in Norfolk, stocking up on Halloween supplies. Last year, she was also spotted scouting out bargains in The Range during which she was seen buying budget-priced festive decorations. In November, the 38-year-old mother was also seen visiting a local pub in London for a few drinks with other mothers from her children’s school. The Duchess of Cambridge was reportedly able to sneak into the Hollywood Arms through a secret entrance to enjoy a “meet and greet” party with other parents.
