The 22-year-old left-hand batsman came into light after he scored 343 runs in ten innings at an average of 57.16 and a strike rate of 142.32 at the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy last month. "I've had 200 missed calls and some 300 messages already," Virat said after he was sold to SRH. Virat is looking forward to be part of a team which has marquee players like David Warner and Kane Williamson. He hopes to learn from them and hone his skills further.
