Dutch Sheets: It’s Time for the Restoration of All Things (Acts 3:21)

Dutch Sheets: It’s Time for the Restoration of All Things (Acts 3:21) Great teaching from Dutch about the biblical understanding of times and seasons. In Acts 3:21 when Peter was preaching he uses the phrase “times of restoration of all things.” This word for “restoration means “to reconstitute something.” We go through seasons where God reconstitutes us in a certain way. Then we go through another season where He is reconstitutes us anew. We go from glory to glory. We are changed in His image from glory to glory, from faith to faith. Every season He’s doing something specific in a corporate sense and in an individual sense. In every season you come to a “Kairos,” a window of opportunity. It is not a guaranteed time, but an opportune time and we're in. We can break through into this new era. He says there are seasons with windows of opportunity. But then you come to a point where you need to step through. You need to break through. You need to hear Holy Spirit saying, “It’s time.”

The second thing the Lord said to Chuck was
to release the hovering of His spirit.
That was very exciting for me because
every time I hear the word hovering I
think of Genesis 1 when Holy Spirit hovered at creation.
Holy Spirit was moving over the face of the deep.
The word hovering there was a birthing term.
It's a reproductive term in Hebrew.
When Jesus was speaking Holy spirit was releasing
His power taking the words of Jesus.
Scripture calls the seeds,
bringing forth what Jesus was decreeing.
Holy Spirit was moving or hovering over
the earth as a sign that he is about to birth something.
If He's hovering in America it's because
He's about to birth something in America.
When Mary was told she was going to bring forth
the Messiah. She said, “How can this be? I'm a virgin.”
The angel said, “The Holy Spirit's going to
hover around you and envelop you in his glory.
You're going to conceive.”
It's also used on the Mount of Transfiguration
when Holy Spirit hovered around the Lord
and released His glory and transformed Him.
It’s also used in Acts 5 referring to how
they stepped into the hovering presence in Peter’s shadow.
When they stepped into the hovering miracles happened.
We're moving into that era when Holy
Spirit's going to move in such a way
that you'll be praying for people but He
won't be limited to the touch.
He'll be released just out from your words.
Your faith will be released into the hovering,
they'll step into that and they'll be healed.
Holy Spirit said, “Go release the hovering,”
I knew he was saying, “I'm about to bring forth
the spirit of awakening in the nation,
gather my people and release my hovering.”
So that's what we're doing.
We can gather the prophetic company in the nation.
As we gather and release our faith
together this hovering begins.
The third thing the Holy Spirit said was
release the anointing to give birth.
In Acts 3:21 when Peter was preaching he
uses the phrase “times of restoration of all things.”
But restoration really is not a strong enough word for us.
It's an overused word that just means somebody has had
a hard time - but God comes and refreshes and restores them.
But this word is the word that means “to reconstitute something.”
That's the best translation of the word – reconstitute.
The constitution of something is the original intent of that thing,
how it is made and how it operates.
Our nation is supposed to operate according to our Constitution.
There are times of the restoration, or reconstituting, of all things.
We go through seasons where God reconstitutes us in a certain way.
Then we go through another season where He is reconstituting us.
We go from glory to glory.
We are changed in His image from glory to glory,
from faith to faith.
Every season He’s doing something specific in a corporate
sense and in an individual sense.
In every season you come to a “Kairos,” a window of opportunity.
It is not a guaranteed time,
but an opportune time and we're in.
We can break through into this new era.
He says there are seasons with windows of opportunity.
But then you come to a point where you need to step through.
You need to break through.
You need to hear Holy Spirit saying, “It’s time.”
