Faulty sunroofs force recall of 7,44,000 Mercedes-Benz vehicles in US

German carmaker Daimler AG said on Saturday that it will recall 7,44,000 Mercedes-Benz vehicles in US sold between 2001-2011 as the sunroof panel could come off and be hazardous to users. The models recalled will include C-Class and CLK-Class lines and the roof will be replaced if required. The owners are entitled to receive reimbursement for repairs from Daimler.
