The 90s was the prime time for comic books in Korea, and comic book magazines such as IQ Jump, Boy Champ, Mink, and etc. Recently, visiting comic book cafes are trending in South Korea, and once again, comic books became cool!
We introduce you a man who has 100,000 comic books! If one comic book is 2cm, piling up 100,000 comic books will become taller than Mt. Hallasan!
He used to like reading comic books since he was young. An anonymous seller wrote in the Korean craigslist that if nobody’s willing to buy that person’s comic book for a month, he/she will just give it to the junkman. Our collector came across that thread, and was truly sad. That’s why he started to collect comic books.
To him, throwing away comic books were the same as throwing away special memories, so he couldn’t give up on collecting comic books. Now, time passed, and in the rural areas where there’s no comic book cafes, he shares his place with his neighbors to share special memories!
