The Big Picture : US-Iran Tension

The United States of America has struck a significant blow against Iran by killing the Commander of Iranian Quds Force General Qaseem Solemani in an air strike near Baghdad International Airport. This has led to escalation of tensions between the two nations.

While the Pentagon described the air strike as a decisive defensive action to protect US personnel abroad , Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said in a statement that the jihad of resistance against all enemies will continue with a doubled motivation. Meanwhile US has urged all its citizens to leave Iraq immediately.
