#Bolbitis Heudelotii (#African water Fern) is my #favourite #aquatic plant and a Bolbits tank is my Favourite kind of Planted Aquarium.
The aquarium in the #video is many years old and has been in the #Still Water Aquatics - Nature Aquarium Mumbai #Gallery since 2014 when we brought it from #Bangalore and reset it here in Mumbai.
The Tank shown in the video is an #ADA 90P with Dimensions 90x45x45 cm, a tank of this size is good for Bolbitis as the leaves grow to about a foot long and would get stunted in a #small tank and would not grow to its ponential, so bolbitis needs a #Large Aquarium to grow well
How and what Bolbitis needs to grow #healthy and #beautiful is what we have discussed in the #first half of the #Video and the points are as follows
1. Bolbitis needs very good #Lighting - unlike other ferns that are known to be low light of shade loving, Bolbitis needs high light and for the tank in the video we have used the #ADA Grand Solar 1 which is about 240watts and had 1 #Metal Halide and 2 #PLL Lights
2. Bolbitis needs good #Fertilisers, Fertilisers helps the plant have increased #photosynthesis and grow faster, #better and Healthier
3. Bolbitis needs good amount of #Co2 also as with out co2 there is no #photosynthesis and the growth will be slow and the plants become #weak.
4. Bolbitis needs a good #Filtration - we use the #ADA #ES600 for the tank in the video, This is the #worlds #best planted aquarium #filter and it is used here as the bolbitis grows really dense and there could be a high bio load
5. Bolbits needs the water to be at 6.5 ph so it is good to use a bit of ADA #Aquasoil Amazonia in the tank below the plant.
In the second part of the tank we show you the best was to tie the Bolbitis on Drift wood or stone using #ADA #Wood #Tight,
We also show you how and in which direction the #Fern should be #tied for #best #growth
We also point out to you the new #leaves, the #Rhizome and the #roots of the fern
And we also add a few more #Tips and #Tricks that will help you grow the fern
1. #Trim the leaves and root before trying it to wood or stone
2. #Trimming the leaves and root will instigate the plant to grow better and faster
3. Never plant the Rhizome of the fern in #soil, as the Rhizome will die
4. When placing the bolbitis on wood, make sure there are no plants above or taller and that can obstruct the light
5. You can place #Anubias, #Java Fern, #Bucephlendra below the bolbitis
6. We also show you hw bolbitis should not be disturbed as it behaves like the #Touch Me Not Plant also known as Chui Mui in Hindi and Mimosa in Marathi
7. It is important to have Patience Patience Patience to grow bolbitis
Some points in this video has never been shown to hobbyist ever.
The Fish in this Planted tank are as follows
1. #Tiger #Barb
2. Odessa Barb
3. Denasoni Barb
4. Cherry Barb
5. Ruby Barb
6. Chinese Barb,

8. Corydoras
9. Bristle nose Place
10. Algae Eaters
Finally I tell you about my experience, my story of how I came about to understand How to Grow Bolbitis Fern and also How I earned 100K in a Year Growing Bolbitis Fern.
