Driving Instructor Briefing - Meeting, Passing & Adequate Clearance (2020)

Driving Instructor Briefing - Meeting, Passing & Adequate Clearance (2020) This is a video aimed at PDIs (Potential Driving Instructors) and ADIs (Approved Driving Instructors) who need to deliver a briefing to learner drivers about Meeting and Passing and Adequate Clearance.

It does not demonstrate how a briefing should be delivered, instead it focuses on the information you might want to include in a briefing.

To deliver a briefing to a pupil you will ask questions, find out what the pupil already knows and build on that knowledge.

A briefing should be interactive and interesting for the pupil. It should be timed suitably and take into account the pupils preferred method of learning.

You may discuss these items as you go along, give a demo drive or use a picture. You may 'tell' the pupil or 'ask questions.' However the pupil learns best.

If you have a Part 3 Test or Standards Check approaching and want more help and advice, or to book a training session, please get in touch. Training sessions can be face-to-face or with use of our GoPro (which is very simple to set-up and use).

Confidence Coaching is also available with Spot On. This can be face-to-face or over Skype.
